Biomedical materials laboratory aims to
develop new biomedical materials with high performance and clinical
transformation potential through interdisciplinary innovation aiming at the key
scientific problems to be solved in clinical application of biomedical
materials. Research interests include photothermal immunotherapy, drug
delivery, biological imaging, etc.
Associate Professor Zhou Benqing, director
of the laboratory, joined Shantou University in 2019. The main research
interests are the construction of new biomaterials and the accurate diagnosis
and treatment of tumor. In 2017, Dr. Zhou Benqing received his doctoral degree
from Donghua University. When he graduated, he was awarded the national
scholarship for doctoral students, excellent doctoral dissertation of Donghua University
and other honorary titles. After that, he did postdoctoral research in Shenzhen
University of Central Oklahoma in the United States, focusing on photothermal
immunotherapy of cancer. He presided over the National Natural Science
Foundation of China Youth Fund projects, special funding projects of China
Postdoctoral Science Foundation, general projects of China Postdoctoral Science
Foundation, and Shenzhen basic research free exploration projects. Up to now,
Dr. Zhou Benqing has published 32 SCI papers, among which 15 are the first or
corresponding authors, including advanced science, Angewandte, Chemistry
International Edition, chemical engineering journal, nanoscale, ACS Applied
Materials & interfaces and other major journals. The research results have
been cited 750 times by SCI, and h index is 16. He has published 6 academic
conference papers and 1 monograph chapter, and applied for 11 Chinese invention
patents, 6 of which have been authorized.
